A lovely piece of writing today Edward. I enjoyed reading it very much, although I didn’t find myself wishing I had been with you on your journey to Vang Vieng. What a good thing you chose VIP class rather than to travel Standard! BTW I haven’t been able to find VV on the map, but now I’ve seen your pictures I’m not surprised. Looking forward, as ever, to your next installment. I hope you are able to find VV’s better side and that the sun comes out. Love to you all, D/Gd

Oh my goodness – this was a trial of a day. So glad you all arrived in one piece and found a nice meal to end the day with. Hope things improve for you tomorrow.
